Despite with their 17-year age difference, Dominic Purcell and AnnaLynne McCord’s May-December relationship is still going strong. But even after two solid years together, the celebrity couple isn’t ready to take their relationship to the next level, at least she isn’t.
While speaking at a recent charity event where she was being honored for her humanitarian efforts, the conversation naturally turned to her May-December relationship with Purcell, who was nowhere to be seen. She clarified that the only reason her “darling” wasn’t there with her was because he was spending some time in his native Australia with his four kids from a previous relationship.
When asked about whether or not they’ll be ringing wedding bells anytime soon, McCord made it pretty clear that marriage is not in their near future. “Everybody else is doing it. I got to go against the grain. So I’m holding off,” said the 26-year-old actress. But that doesn’t mean that the celebrity couple isn’t perfectly happy together. “I was listening to Bryan Adams’s ‘Have You Ever Really Loved a Woman’ on the way over here and I thought, ‘Oh my God, I think he listened to this song and that’s how I know he loves me!’”
McCord also touched on the fact that having to spend so much time apart because of busy work schedules is actually what makes their May-December relationship work. And when they’re together, this celebrity couple is just like any other couple. “We have the excitement of being away from each other then coming back together. So when we’re together, we’re literally on the couch watching Pawn Stars or Counting Cars.” Sounds like a perfect match!
What do you think: Can distance really bring a couple closer together, or is that just a myth?
