One of the presumable perks of dating an A-list actor is getting to go to fancy award shows and mingle with other A-list actors. But that’s not really the case if you’re dating Joaquin Phoenix.
Hollywood’s biggest names gathered for the 86th Academy Awards on March 2, but the 39-year-old actor was nowhere to be seen, even though his movie Her was nominated for best picture and took home the Oscar for best original screenplay.
While other celebrities were prepping for the big night, Joaquin Phoenix seemed to have his hands full with other plans; he was spotted leaving a martial arts class with his much younger sugar baby, 20-year-old DJ Allie Teilz. Dressed in oversized sweats, the celebrity couple looked quite content about skipping the biggest night in Hollywood.
But we can’t help but wonder if his new sugar baby had anything to do with him not showing up to the Oscars—would he have gone if she wasn’t in the picture? Besides, she doesn’t exactly scream Hollywood royalty, but to each their own.
Meanwhile, other celebrity sugar daddies used the opportunity to show off their beautiful younger women. Bradley Cooper and his model sugar baby, Suki Waterhouse, were spotted at the star-studded Vanity Fair Oscar Party, along with Leonardo DiCaprio and his younger girlfriend, Toni Garrn.
What do you think: Will Joaquin Phoenix’s new sugar baby hurt his career as an A-list actor?
