You may recall the name Sydney Leathers, the 23-year-old woman who revealed that she had had sexually explicit conversations via text message with 49-year-old failed mayoral candidate, Anthony Weiner.
While Weiner’s political career took a sharp nosedive, Leathers cashed in on her sugar daddy scandal by starring in her own porn movie, and making appearances at strip clubs and topless bars. Her regular interviews bashing Weiner and his behavior made her something of a celebrity, and she’s found a way to make even more money off of being a certified sugar baby.
Leathers has just signed a new endorsement deal and is now the new face of a popular sugar daddy dating site that caters to people who are looking for these types of relationships. According to representatives for the site, Leathers is a perfect fit for the job because she “personifies [their] female clientele—upwardly mobile aspirational young women who don’t believe there’s only one road to success.” In other words, Leathers has mastered the art of using a cell phone and a sugar daddy to make a buck or two.
Leathers’ coveted position of sugar daddy spokesperson used to be held by 27-year-old porn star Bree Olson, who used to be one of Charlie Sheen’s famous live-in “goddesses.” Olson was the star of several controversial billboards and posters for the site, and we can only expect the same from Leathers. To give you an idea of what the site is all about, here’s what one of their billboards starring Olson read: “Hey students, need a summer job? Date a sugar daddy.” Another one read, “Because the best job is a b***job.”
