Hollywood’s favorite sugar daddy, Johnny Depp, may not be on the big screen for much longer. The 50-year-old actor recently revealed in an interview that he’s thinking about retiring from acting after nearly three decades in front of the camera. “Are there quieter things I wouldn’t mind doing? Yeah, I wouldn’t mind that,” he told BBC. “I wouldn’t say I am dropping out any second, but I would say it’s probably not too far away.”
Depp explained that as an actor, he’s getting tired of always saying what other people want him to. “When you add up the amount of dialogue you say per year and you realize you’ve said written words more than you’ve had a chance to say your own words that becomes an insane option for a human being.”
This isn’t the first time the celebrity sugar daddy has mentioned retirement. He recently told Rolling Stone magazine that he wants to concentrate on “really living life.” Lately, Deep has certainly been living it up with his much younger girlfriend, 27-year-old actress Amber Heard. The celebrity couple has been dating on and off since 2012.
While Depp ponders retirement, Heard’s career is just starting to really take off. She’s got at least four films lined up for release between now and 2014, which begs the question: If Depp is planning to retire and settle down, where does that leave Heard and her career?
What do you think: If Johnny Depp retires from acting, will it affect his May-December relationship with Amber Heard?
