Is This Proof That Your Sugar Daddy Is Planning to Cheat on You?

While some people are vowing to get fit or save money for their New Year’s resolution, others are hopping online to try and have an affair. A popular web site designed for people who are looking to cheat on their spouse saw a record-high number of sign-ups on New Year’s Day—27,511 Americans joined the paid site to seek out an extramarital affair; that works out to roughly one new member every three seconds. Of those new members, 60% were men and about 40% were women.

Although most dating web sites see an increase in traffic at the start of a new year, including sugar daddy dating sites, this particular site saw a 20.7% increase from the same time last year. Moreover, the site saw a whopping 344% increase in traffic on New Year’s Day than on a typical day.

It makes sense if you think about it. Around the holidays, a lot of couples set their issues aside because, well, it’s the holidays. But it doesn’t help that people generally tend to have pretty high expectations for the holidays, and if those expectations aren’t met, it can lead to feeling disappointed and underappreciated. Those negative feelings are often more than enough to push someone into seeking pleasure, satisfaction, and happiness elsewhere, like a steamy affair with a sugar daddy or sugar baby. Plus, when the New Year comes around, people tend to get a little more motivated to make a change in their life.

That’s why dating web sites, especially sugar daddy/sugar baby dating sites, also see a spike in new members on Valentine’s Day, as well as Father’s Day and Mother’s Day—when you’re feeling underappreciated, what better way to lift your spirit than by hooking up with a doting sugar daddy?

What do you think: Would you ever join an online dating site to find someone to have an affair with?
